Summary
On their way back to Erid, Rocky and Grace discover a mysterious box. Upon opening it, the two discover some strange changes. Well, perhaps way more than strange.
Rocky finds a new marking on his arm similar to Grace's scar, and Grace finds markings similar to Rocky's on his arms and legs.
Rocky begins to dream and can easily wake from sleep, and Grace can stay up for much longer than a normal human should.
Grace starts seeing sound when it's too dark to properly see, and Rocky starts seeing pops of colour in his sound vision.
Neither can understand what's happening to them and how they're seemingly linked together, but they know there's nothing in the world that could tear them apart.
(TLDR: This fic will include almost everyone's favourite things! Rocky learns about how Grace got on the Hail Mary (Including Rocky witnessing the memory of Grace being sent on the Hail Mary)! Grace can survive in Rocky's atmosphere! Grace will live as long as Rocky! Rocky and Adrian reuinite and Adrian meets Grace! Donnie straightened, reading the words a second time. A third time. He rubbed at his eyes to make sure he read it correctly. There was no way. The serum was making complete sense in his brain and it was only exciting him further.
“No way,” Donnie breathed. Pieces of the puzzle were beginning to click in his brain. “Oh, no fucking way.”
“I think I know you well enough to say you’re scaring me,” Casey said.
“I’m a genius,” Donnie said. “I mean, I know that. It’s undeniable at this point, but I am feeling so affirmed right now, because I just. I did that, Casey. I just…”
Casey blinked at him. “Please clarify?”
Donnie didn’t. He let the silence stretch so the pieces could fall into place, beginning to shake with excitement. He could go where no man had gone before, fix Casey’s problems like he desperately wanted to, and most importantly, break the laws of nature.
“Donnie?” Casey’s voice was small, because he’d spent enough time around a Donatello to know that face.
He had an idea.
