    Summary

"You always knew it was gonna end like this for me. It was supposed to end like this, right?”

If the brothers were truly “finally free,” as they say in the penultimate episode, then their fates shouldn’t have been compelled by a “supposed to.” Something went wrong, and Chuck wasn’t actually defeated. The Supernatural finale is the work of a “cruel, cruel, capricious God”… and you’re meant to notice.

But don’t take my word for it; pay attention. Because the show told us what happened in-narrative and out-of-narrative, as loudly as it possibly could.

Let's be honest, if anybody needs a Daddy, it's Dean Winchester so...

Dean drunkenly says "Daddy," and Cas is lovingly accommodating.

    Summary

Having a general disdain for the holiday season, Castiel is content to spend the company Christmas party downing a few drinks in the corner with Meg before making a quick exit. That is, until a challenge from Meg drives Castiel to make a move on his secret (or so he thought) crush, Dean Winchester—a move that yields promising results.
