Summary
This town no longer looks impossible. He can see how the year might pass now, with basketball and art and boys he does not hate. That should probably feel like enough for one day. Instead he’s lying here listening to Gyuvin breathe across the aisle and realizing, with immediate regret, that one of the boys he is apparently becoming closest to is also really hot, weirdly attentive, and almost definitely straight. Ricky pulls the blanket a little higher and tries not to think about how long a school year actually is.
Gyuvin has a fastball, a slider, a curve, a changeup, and no idea why he can’t seem to leave Ricky alone. Ricky has an art portfolio, a bad attitude, and no idea why he keeps saying yes to Gyuvin.
"Nobody can know,” as it turns out, is not the same thing as “this is not happening.”

Summary
Ricky was bored. Immortality, it turned out, was a real bitch when it came to entertainment. He'd seen empires rise and fall, danced with queens and dined with paupers. But nothing, absolutely nothing, had prepared him for the mind-numbing tedium of the 21st century.
That is, until he laid eyes on Gyuvin, the coroner with his stupidly fluffy hair and eyes that reminded Ricky of the stormy seas he'd sailed centuries ago. He watched Gyuvin fumble with his keys outside the morgue, a jolt of recognition shooting through his undead heart.
It was him. Again. The soul Ricky had encountered countless times throughout history, the soul that always found his way back to the immortal vampire. He'd been a pirate doctor, a renaissance artist, a philosopher in ancient Greece. And now in this life he was a coroner.
Perhaps death might just get interesting again.
And so began Ricky's ridiculous quest to woo the coroner. His first brilliant idea? Play dead. Repeatedly. In increasingly absurd locations around the city.

Summary
Realistically it’s been less than a week since they last saw each other, but actually having Gyuvin in the same room and staring at him with his earnest, earnest eyes affects him more than he’d like to admit. I’m sorry for avoiding you, Ricky wants to say. If he were a bit braver, he might try a Tell me what you wanted to say, and I promise I’ll listen this time.
Instead, he scowls and deadpans, “For someone with nothing but Coconut Mall music playing in their head, you fucking suck at this game.”
Or, Ricky's weakness has always been Gyuvin. Too bad he's terrible at getting his feelings straight

Summary

“So what did you want to talk about?”
“You might want to sit down.” Gyuvin immediately sits next to him, their knees barely touching. Maybe it’s the baby, but Ricky feels a new warmth where they make contact. “Look Gyuvin, I have something to tell you, and I understand if you don’t take it well, I don’t even know what I’m gonna do, but you should know, it’s only right-”
“Woah, you’re starting to spiral. I can even start to smell you a little bit ” He didn’t realize how worked up he was, his own strawberry scent starting to fill the area. Ricky looks Gyuvin in the eyes again. Now he looks a little concerned, and tentatively rests a hand on Ricky’s. The warmth appears again.
“Gyuvin, I’m pregnant.”
