Summary
Edward Elric, the man who only did what he wanted to do by following his heart. Edward Elric, who promised her big things and achieved even greater ones. Edward Elric, who solved everyone's problems and asked nothing for himself. Edward Elric who could save every single soul in this country but felt like he could not handle holding her heart. That Edward Elric.
Welcome to the deep dive into the two years it took Ed to realize that Winry was his other half.
Or,
Two teenagers who are in denial about their feelings have a slow burn relationship where it's mostly fluff, lots of yearning, and a series of missed chances. Some humor may apply.

Summary
How could he do this? The moment of Winry lifting her tank top flashed across his eyes like an alarm. He had to do anything to get this out of his head. He thought about what she was wearing right now: an old baggy t-shirt and her sleeping shorts. Her very, very short sleeping shorts. He could feel her rubbing her feet together under the blanket, but he seemed to only concentrate on imagining what her long legs felt like rubbing against each other. Or her lifting up her shirt again. Or her thighs rubbing together.
He ground his teeth together and refocused. He had originally considered waiting until she fell asleep before moving onto the floor. This, he determined, was the chivalrous thing to do. No way could he consider acting upon these strange new feelings and urges towards Winry if he himself didn’t quite understand what they meant to him. She adjusted her shoulders and kicked her feet under the covers again. Ed bit his lip and decided to just leave the bed now.
Or,
What happens after Winry comes upon Edward Elric eating his sandwich in the dark corner of her room.

Summary
We watched as he promised to give half of his life to her if she'd give him half of hers. They embraced on the platform, the train whistled, and like that, he was off again.
How in the hell did Edward Elric get to that point?
This is a deep dive into the slow—maybe painfully slow—romantic development of two childhood best friends who realize that they should spend the rest of their lives together.
Beginning with a shared evening at the Rockbell House before the fateful Promise Day, the two year timeskip since, and what transpired the months before their eventual marriage, it’s a Winry and Ed deep dive.
Do you like secret hand holding and characters biting their lips in heated anticipation? Put some lip gloss on and strap in.

Summary
Less than 6 months after the Promised Day Al has a revelation that shocks Ed to his core. But life goes on for the Elric Brothers and Winry. Now that the fight of their life is over how will they navigate daily life and adulthood? My version of events after the Promised Day. Mostly canon to the manga with a couple changes here and there.

Summary
There’s an inherent benevolence to the seven deadly sins—after all, they are the things that define the human experience. In excess, these things are dangerous. But there’s a humanness in dabbling in that which we call sin, and in opening themselves to it—in being flawed, imperfect beings who rise to the challenge again and again—Ed and Winry find wholeness in each other.

Summary
He feels Winry smiles and not a second later, Edward pushes his weight on his hands, until their chests are no longer pressed and he can see her face fully. Her eyes shine beautifully under him, her smile brightens his soul. You’re everything, he wants to say. You’re my end and my beginning and I’ve always known that but now– now it feels like you pierced my soul and carved your smile there.
He wants to say all of this, but Edward doesn’t ruin the moment.
