Summary
On hindsight, leaving his drink unattended at the bar in The Three Broomsticks probably isn’t one of his most stellar ideas, especially when his first words to Soobin are: “Those jeans make your thighs look delicious.”
(or: someone spikes kai‘s drink with veritaserum, soobin thinks kai's drunk a love potion by mistake, and kai thinks it’s probably best soobin doesn’t know that his random love confessions are, in actual fact, embarrassing declarations of truth)

Summary
On the last school trip to the oceanarium, Soobin was paired with a guide who looked like she would rather watch paint dry than lead a group of kids, so a part of him was worried that he would end up with someone similar. He was pleasantly surprised to find a man who looked not much younger than himself, with blonde hair and a bright smile, looking very excited especially with what appeared to be a dolphin hat on his head.
"My name is Huening Kai and I'm your guide for today!"
or, Kindergarten teacher Soobin takes his students to the oceanarium and meets Kai, their very enthusiastic guide. The kids are not the only ones falling in love with him.

“That’s right, hyung,” Kai says, with a smile that’s so obviously forced and fake it could belong on a barbie doll. “We are very close friends and I’ve never harboured any sort of romantic feelings for you. My love is so entirely platonic, and I’m not projecting onto any of the BL characters in shows that we watch together. In fact, just to add, I’ve never thought of kissing you while we snuggle in my bed to watch something together, and the light hits your face at just the right angles, or you pout at something on screen.”
A long silence follows.
“Exactly,” Soobin says with an oblivious smile. “Glad we established that!”
