Summary
Post-Chosen, Buffy's struggling to adjust to the new status quo of her life: no longer the only Slayer, but still The Slayer. The one in charge. Propelled to investigate a strange blip on the magical radar, Buffy finds herself in Duluth, Minnesota and much more than she bargained for.
Meanwhile, Spike has come back from the brink himself, only to be entirely at loose ends. No purpose, no guiding light, he gets himself out of LA and into a mess of, well, not hot water, that's for certain.
AKA, Buffy and Spike reunite in my home state and they hate it.
Written for EF's 2026 Challenge Month, answering werehorse's challenge of Spuffy vs. YOUR favorite local cryptid, which I've had my eye on for months. This has been a lovely excuse to get Spuffy to Minnesota.

Summary
Underground, it is common knowledge that anyone wishing to marry the Goblin King must be victorious in a challenge set by the Labyrinth itself.
No one expected the Labyrinth to choose its young human Champion as the challenge to be bested.
As for Sarah, she’s becoming increasingly concerned by how much she enjoys defeating Jareth’s would-be-spouses with a wide range of boardgames.
It should also be noted that Sarah is an unrepentant cheat.
So is Jareth.
