Hen sighed. “I mean, at least it isn’t real.”
Buck frowned slightly and looked at her. “It is.”
“Buck, did you research about this movie before watching it? Again?” Eddie raised an eyebrow.
“No.” He mocked being offended. “But in all seriousness, it literally can happen. Not exactly like that but, yeah.”
Athena cocked her head. “Where did you find that out, Buckaroo?”
Buck didn’t think before saying, “From my coma dream.”

Summary
Buck sat up too fast, wincing as his muscles protested. His eyes darted around the room—clean. No broken porcelain. No shattered mugs. Just a glass of water on the coffee table and Eddie, still here.
He rubbed his face with both hands. “Shit,” he muttered. “I—God, I’m sorry.”
Eddie didn’t move. “You don’t have to be.”
Buck let out a bitter laugh. “I trashed my apartment. I cried all over you. I probably screamed. And you’re still here.”
Eddie shrugged, like it was the simplest thing in the world. “Of course I’m still here.”
Buck looked away, jaw tight. “I lost it.”

Summary
Lieutenant Commander Evan Buckley has survived war zones, covert missions, and enough explosions to fill a lifetime—but nothing prepared him for Staff Sergeant Eddie Diaz, the army medic with a sharp tongue and zero regard for rank.
They clash, they fight, they bleed—and somewhere between they start to fall. Slowly. Stupidly. Against all odds. Because in a world where every second counts, love is the one thing they never trained for.
Sergeant Eddie Diaz didn’t look up until he heard boots and yelling.
“Careful!” he said, deadpan, as the team deposited Buck—still resisting—onto the cot. “We wouldn’t want to bruise his ego any further.”
“You’re the medic?” Buck growled, glaring up at the man with messy curls and sharp eyes.
“No,” Eddie replied dryly, pulling on gloves. “I’m the fairy godmother. You got a wish?”
