Wincing a little, he realised that the aching in his gums had intensified enough that he could no longer ignore it for the sake of curiosity, nor passion. This was his chance. Quenching his thirst was the priority; the whims of his shredded humanity could wait.
He looked back into Jongseong’s eyes. The man swallowed.

And when he noticed Hongjoong standing there gawking, his mouth stretched into a blinding, 1000-kilowatt smile and he raised his hand into a wave. Hongjoong thought he just about might pass out and join old Maggie in the clouds.
For some inexplicable reason, this irritated him beyond belief.
