Summary
The reality of her situation was slowly ripping Sophie apart.
The reality of what she had done- how she had damned her own child to the same life that she had suffered oh so greatly from. The life of being a bastard to a nobleman.
As she slowly lay the basket on the ground, Sophie let out a small sob and pressed her most precious baby against her chest- one last time.
“Forgive me, dearest. But your father is a kind man, he will care for you…” Sophie whispered in despair as she kissed the head of her child.
Without much ado, she placed the bebe in the cozy basket, laid atop the blankets a letter and finally knocked on the door, before disappearing in the shadows of the night.
Whilst being haunted by silent sobs, Sophie could only pray that her baby would have a kinder life than she had.
That Benedict Bridgerton was more honourable than her own father.-
After a steamy encounter at the lake, history repeats itself as Sophie experiences the same fate as her late mother did. Having a bastard.

Without much of a thought, Penelope encased the older woman into another hug.
“Thank you” Penelope whispered, although those meagre words weren’t enough to convey even a small friction of the gratitude, she felt.
…Perhaps happiness was not beyond her reach after all.
There is nothing that she wants more than to hold her baby, yet she cannot.
She cannot even voice her desire to care for her child.
It was too much.
…And she hadn’t even been informed of the sex of the child.
The panicked voices grew louder as the midwife walked away with Penelope’s baby.
Somehow, Penelope knew that that had been her only chance to gaze upon her child.What a pity, Penelope thought absentmindedly as the world seemed to close into itself, I never even got to see their face

Alastor took you in- raised you as if you were his real daughter. He helped you, treated you with a kindness no one had ever shown you before and spend the nights when he wasn’t hunting, staying up and studying with you for the subjects you had difficulties in- like french.
And even after he abandoned you..after…the fight, you knew that he would always be your real father.You hadn’t seen Alastor- in person- since you had been alive. And you are sure that he would not want to see you anyway, so, you never bothered to try and reconnect.
But it doesn't matter now- you have built a life for yourself in hell while even acquiring quite a few souls, that graced you with enough power to never feel powerless again- a stark contrast to your life on earth.

Although it remains to be seen how his past experiences with his own parents- especially his wretched father- will affect his parenting.(This tecnically is a prequel to my other story- but this can be read as a stand alone!)
