Heeseung’s life is currently a backlog of unfinished tracks, laundry piles that have replaced the furniture, and a three-day silence he doesn't know how to break.
“I don't know how.” Sunoo nods, smiling. “I'm sorry, I know I'm supposed to but I don't.”
“Baby,” Sunoo coaxes Heeseung's eyes back on him with the pet name. “Who said you're supposed to know, hm? This is your first time living too.”
To Heeseung, love feels like another item on a to-do list he’s failing. To Sunoo, love is a Sunday morning, a door left unlocked, and a picture of a kitten in a sun-hat sent with no context.
A story about executive dysfunction, the grace of being seen, and learning that you don't have to be a finished project to be a partner.
