Summary
Cas Novak runs a popular restaurant. His world is running along beautifully until the night that his sous chef quits to start a new restaurant. To make matters worse, he takes many of the staff with him.
Enter Dean. He works for the nearby dive, The Roadhouse. Late one night Cas stops in for a bite and from that moment, everything changes. Cas needs a sous chef, and Dean deserves an opportunity.
At Novak’s, with Dean in the role of sous chef, a whole lot starts cooking despite the efforts that Cas makes to keep everything professional.

Summary
Dean has been focusing all his efforts on his brother for the past year, who needed his help after a crisis. He’s had less energy for his friends and has been taking less joy in his job which he has always loved. Dating, something that he was never fond of at the best of times has completely fallen to the wayside, he doesn’t even really go out for one-night stands anymore. His friend Charlie, puts her foot down about this and says she’s signed him up for a blind dating service. He will be going on 12 dates in the weeks leading up to Christmas.

Dean is a witch who never has an easy time being subtle about his magic. After yet another incident of him almost exposing everything to the clueless public he finds himself reprimanded by his coven and swears to do better in the future.
Only to end up breaking into the coven's library that very same night, absolutely wasted, with his vampire best friend in tow, in a weak attempt to somehow turn his life around. The sole thing he accomplishes in his inebriated state, though, is to mix up some spells and accidentally summon an actual angel of the Lord, without any idea how to send him back again.
Great.
So now Dean doesn't only have to deal with a very disgruntled heavenly creature but also needs to keep this all a secret from his family and the coven.
And what cover would be more effective than telling everybody that the weird, blue-eyed guy who suddenly popped up in his life is his new boyfriend?
What could possibly go wrong?

Summary
Dean Winchester plans to drown his sorrows in waffles after picking another fight with his best friend since childhood, Cas, on their friendversary... which happens to be Valentine’s Day. His plans are stymied when he’s stopped on the way back to work by a man who wants to take his photo and chat with him. When the man asks about love, he tells him about his secret love for his best friend. Little does Dean know his secret will soon be revealed.
This fic is inspired by Humans of New York, a popular Facebook page that tells true stories about everyday people in New York (and elsewhere).
