To say Bucks first month at the 118 was bad is an understatement. Right now she is currently resting her head on the porcelain toilet while Hen holds her hair back. She had only just started a month ago, right before Eddie had left. She had joined because Eddie said he wasn’t going back. But a week into her new job she came home to an empty house with a note.
or What if Buck was female and was married to Eddie who was in Afghanistan while no one at the 118 know that she's married or pregnant.

Summary
Missing Chris is less of an emotion these days and more of a physical entity. He’s sure everyone can see that he’s slowly hollowing himself out, that he can’t do much of anything else.
But when Jee laughs at him trying to get his tongue to touch his nose, and Mara loops one of her arms through his to keep him from tossing the rest of his cup in the garbage, Eddie feels solid again.
Maybe he likes yellow birthday cake ice cream after all.
(or, gerrard messes with the team's schedules and eddie 'i just drove my son to flee the state' diaz is the only option to watch mara and jee-yun after school on tuesdays, which, shouldn't be a problem at all, right?)

Summary
Buck didn’t mean to fall in with the wrong crowd. If you’d asked him before, he would have said he didn’t know how to find the wrong crowd. But the streets were cold and lonely and sometimes Buck thought he would have been better off staying with his parents – at least until he turned 18. He never thought that for long; all it took was the memory of a fist colliding with his cheek, glancing off his nose, to remind him that he was right to leave. But being right to leave didn’t help with being cold and lonely.
His friends helped, though.
Or: Buck finds the wrong sort of people until he finds himself in LA, being arrested by Sergeant Athena Grant.

Summary
Buck crept forward, glancing behind him once as if to check that May was following. He got to the table and paused, clearly unsure where to sit. Athena was about to speak up when May announced imperiously, “You have to sit next to me. I’m your most favorite sibling so you have to.”
“What about Harry?” Buck laughed, settling in next to May anyway.
“He’s a baby, he doesn’t count,” May dismissed.
Buck snorted, “How about this, you’ll be my favorite sister?”

“C'mere," Buck says, sitting up to scoot closer to Eddie.
"What are you doing?” Eddie asks, and Buck sighs.
"You can just kiss me, get a taste of the lip balm, and tell me what flavour you think it is.”
Eddie can’t believe his ears.
"That is such a stupid way to win a bet, Buck."
“Oh so you concede?"
Eddie rolls his eyes, shaking his head before planting both hands on the sides of Buck's face and hauling him in to press their lips together.
OR
Buck and Eddie make a bet on whether or not Eddie can guess all of Buck's lip balm flavours, and in order for Eddie to get a taste, they have to kiss.
