“You’d probably just blink if someone moaned your name in bed,” he continued, making himself cackle, “Stoic-ass bastard.” drops of sake landed on the table in front of him, as he threw his head back to laugh. It came from his chest, the bubble of emotions emerging from within, and his fingers twitched.
The lack of reaction from Sasuke egged Naruto on, like it used to whenever he didn’t get the reaction Naruto wanted — a parallel to when he had jumped on top of Sasuke’s desk in the academy.
“Bet you wouldn’t even flinch if I did it right now,” under normal circumstances, Naruto would have probably not attempted to tease Sasuke in such an underhanded way, partly because he knew it would not work on someone like Sasuke. His sexy-no-jutsu had never worked on Sasuke, either. Also because they were grown adults, supposedly role models for others, and the strongest by far.

“You’re supposed to be getting married.”
Naruto froze. Then his broad shoulders slumped, his clothes drenched in rain and mud. He leaned his forehead against Sasuke’s shoulder, his numb hands sliding off his cloak and down his chest. Naruto could feel Sasuke’s rapid heartbeat hiding behind his even and steady voice.
“I ran away,” Naruto replied, husky and worn-out. They must be looking for him now. Naruto himself suppressed his chakra, decisive but tired.
