    The screeching continues despite her inner turmoil. Rattling persists as her ears drop hot liquid onto the wooden floor. Gasping, she reaches a gloved hand to her ear. Bringing her stained glove to her face, she struggles not to scream. Blood. There's blood. She isn't squeamish by any means, but the crows, they keep screaming for her attention and it's turning into wails and she can't focus on more than one sensation at once and is it getting harder to breathe because wow the room feels like it has less oxygen than before and the room is so small now and, oh, speaking of why is it all so blurry and-
