Summary
Post BOFA - everyone lives.
The company, led by Oin, agree to sequester Bilbo away in a room deep in the mountain so that he can rest and heal after the battle. They all (including Bilbo) hope he will be pardoned and allowed to remain in the mountain once Thorin is healed and his mind is clear of the gold sickness. However, being dwarves, none of them really know how to tactfully mention it. Thorin assumes Bilbo has returned to the Shire and besides privately sending letters that are never returned, attempts to push the broken friendship and heart ache from his mind by not mentioning Bilbo either. Meanwhile Bilbo is healing, resting and using a handy ring to live unseen in the mountain. Both of them crave a reunion and a chance to right the wrongs they've committed...Bookmarked by ieatdeaddoves

Summary
Bilbo Baggins hasn't had a heat since his tweens—not since he tucked that part of himself away with the rest of his foolish, romantic instincts.
Thorin's Rut has been triggered for the first time in his life—something sacred among dwarves, only ever meant for a One.
They are both fighting it. Failing. And the only thing keeping the king himself from tearing the world apart to get to Bilbo is a crumbling barrier of decency, some very helpful goats, and three very tired chaperones.
Meanwhile, corrupted magic stalks Beorn's lands, a celestial Maia begins to stir awake in the forest, and the Company tries desperately to keep their burglar comfortable, clothed, and not climbing their king like a tree.
It's not going great.

Summary
"Please Gandalf... please don't tell him." She begged, her voice thick with emotion and unshed tears.
Gandalf met her eyes with as forlorn an expression as she'd ever seen on his face. There was such sadness held there at the answer she knew he had to give.
"It would be a promise I cannot keep." He told her as kindly as he possibly could. "I'd rather not keep a father and his child from each other- a King and his heir even less so."
Billa looked away but didn't flinch when a warm, rough hand touched her shoulder offering comfort. She desperately needed it. She was so frightened.
"Did you love him?" She heard him ask. She clung to the sympathy in his voice and nodded as her eyes brimmed with tears.
"Do you still?"
The answer was barely a whisper- as small and secret as the fluttering heartbeat under her shaking hand.
"Yes."
