“No!” Yeonjun said quickly, as Beomgyu sat up to glare at him. “No, no, I didn’t do anything like that.”
“Then what was it?” Taehyun asked. “You asked her for something specific.”
“I…” He trailed off, feeling a blush heating up his cheeks. “I did ask her if– well, I asked her if she thought maybe me and Soobin’s relationship could change. I thought…”
He didn’t finish the sentence, but Taehyun raised his eyebrows. “I’m not sure that master and pet was what you had in mind, but who knows. Maybe you guys are into that sort of stuff.”
“That’s not– I mean, we’re not–” Yeonjun’s feeble attempts at defending himself went unheard, drowned out by Beomgyu's laughter.
“Hyung,” Beomgyu said, still gasping for breath. He was holding his sides, like he was in pain. “Only you could accidentally curse the love of your life by turning him into a rabbit.”
“He’s not the love of my life!” Yeonjun cried. “I just– we’re roommates–”
“Oh?” Taehyun cut him off, with an innocent expression. “Then what did you mean when you told the witch that you wanted your relationship to change? If you wanted a 'pet' that badly, there are websites for that kind of thing.”Bookmarked by ilyshowhyuk

“Soobin?” He asked, voice a little pinched. “Like, Choi Soobin? Tall, blue hair?”
“Yeah,” Beomgyu replied slowly. “Why?”
Yeonjun’s mouth dropped open in horror. “You can’t do a project with him! He’s homophobic!”
“What?” Kai gasped. “That can’t be right. Soobin hyung is in Animal Crossing club with me, and he’s super nice. There’s no way he’s homophobic!”
“No, he definitely is,” Yeonjun said gravely. “He’s in my Philosophy 201 section.”
Kai looked down at the sad, wilted salad in front of him with a shocked expression. His voice went quiet. “Oh my God. I’ve been hanging out with a homophobe.”
“No you haven’t,” Taehyun said, a confused frown creasing his eyebrows. “Soobin hyung’s literally gay.”

In hindsight, Taehyun should’ve known it would all go wrong that day. It was a Thursday, which wasn’t inherently suspicious, but his bus was late that day– his bus was never late. He’d timed his commute perfectly so that he arrived three minutes before the train pulled out of the station, so he was late to school that day– Taehyun was never late.
He was fourteen pages into Pride and Prejudice for his advanced English class when he heard a rustle in the branches. He looked up; a pair of bulging eyes stared back. Taehyun started slightly, and what appeared to be a deformed head peeked around the trunk of the tree several feet above him. The creature had lumpy, blueish skin, the color of a day-old bruise, and spindly limbs like a frog’s that supported a squishy, round body. It squawked at him through a long, wide mouth with disturbingly human-like teeth, and Taehyun gulped.It’s nothing, he thought to himself. There’s nothing there.
