Summary
He allows Yue Qingyuan to brush his hair off his shoulder, cool nose skimming his ear as he presses a kiss to Shen Qingqiu’s jaw. When the heat in Shen Qingqiu’s stomach begins to turn and spread insistently to his cheeks, he shoulders Yue Qingyuan off and promptly straightens his robes.
“If Sect Leader had his way Cang Qiong Mountain Sect would be renowned only for its tardiness.”
Yue Qingyuan simply laughs.
As Yue Qingyuan opens the door and steps aside, Shen Qingqiu watches that playfulness retreat behind a benign smile, and those wandering hands retreat into his sleeves. Sect Leader once more, and a figure Shen Qingqiu is obliged to share.
Shen Qingqiu and Yue Qingyuan set out to assist a village in need, and find themselves in the company of murder, hidden identity, and one vocal baby.

“... Vampirism?” Yue Qingyuan asks.
Shen Qingqiu stops breathing. Yue Qingyuan, he’s looking at--
His bracers already taken off, he’s carelessly allowed his sleeve to slip back enough to reveal the dozens of harsh bitemarks pressed into his wrist, red imprints of teeth surrounded by clouds of mottled blue and purple skin. Brusquely, Shen Qingqiu shakes his sleeve back out to cover up his humiliation. For a second, he considers stubbornly denying everything, lying, deflecting - and just as quickly, he dismisses it. He’s been caught; acting as if he hasn’t been would only be pathetic. Wasn’t this really only inevitable?
And yet, of all people to be caught by it had to be this particular person…
