"I understand cutting it out though - it feels like one of the central themes to the comic is Mark potentially regretting his decision not to have just said yes to his dad, which is something the show decides not to have him wrangle with much. This moment in the comic that the alcoholism led up to really highlights that idea. I think it's selfish and desperate to consider but understandable. And I'm so obsessed with how not long after this scene he reunites with his dad and is just immediately bawling, begging him to come home, ready to forgive and forget because he wants his family back so terribly. And then, despite reassuring Mark he loves him and can't bear to hurt him, he does in fact lose himself to anger and chokes Mark when Mark is just trying to console him. Another action that Mark just immediately forgives him for. He just takes it." -

I loved shipwreckblues' "chekhov's gun is an unpeeled orange" so fucking much, I need more. So, I did the logical thing and wrote up a quick and basic plot to appease the brain worms :3 If interested, pls read that first. (And all of shipwreckblues' fics while ur at it.)
In other words, two Marks stranded in another dimension. What will they do? A roadtrip to find a way home, because who knows if help will come.
