As much as I hate to admit it, they need a tame vamp looking out for them, way more than they need me these days.”

Summary
While down in the tunnels, the tunnels close, leaving Steve and the kids trapped. Now, they have to wait for the others to find them. Steve promised he’d keep these kids safe, so that’s what he’s going to do. After all, he’s a damn good babysitter. Even in creepy Upside Down tunnels that are collapsing more by the minute.

Summary
When Steve's phone rings at 2am, he doesn't expect Jonathan to be the one on the other end, and he especially doesn't expect to hear Jonathan begging for him to help them. But here he was, not even putting shoes on as he raced to the Byers house to reach Will in time, because Jonathan was still twenty minutes away and Lonnie was back. Steve didn't ask, but the pure terror in Jonathan's voice told him all he needed to know. Will was in serious trouble, and Steve wouldn't let what happen to him as a kid happen to Will Byers.
