Summary
He’s slouched forward in his seat, hoodie over his head that doesn’t quite fully hide the wired headphones plugged in his ears. In front of him there’s no laptop or even a notebook prepared to take notes in, only a single black backpack that’s so flat that Jay doubts there’s anything but air inside it.
Another typical slacker student it seems. On the first day, no less. “…What is your name?”
“Yang Jungwon.”
(Or: Jay helps private tutor one of his students that’s at risk of failing his class, and in turn receives a lesson on love, the hard way.)

Summary
“They’re good, right?” Daniela asks, head turned towards the two dancers.
“Yeah,” Jungwon hums, hoping to sound nonchalant and not like a kid caught spying. Carefully, he takes the paper cup from her, and dares to ask, “Which one is my teacher?”
“The blonde,” she answers, pointing at the boy who’s been haunting Jungwon’s dreams. “Nishimura Riki.”
Jungwon saw Riki dancing at one of his father's events once, and that was enough for his omega to develop a fixation on him. The omega has it all, money, power, and an alpha whom his mother wants him to marry even though he feels nothing for him, so what's so special about that particular alpha dancer?

Summary
Jungwon moves to pull out the axe and Jay's eyes rake over him. The serenity isn't an affectation. There's a slight tremor in his legs but it must be adrenaline more than anything else. His face is cool, relaxed. There's nothing in his face to indicate he's scared or apprehensive. He looks perfectly in his element.
Not for the first time, Jay gets the sense that he and Jungwon are two worlds apart. What is new is the sense of danger.
Or: Somewhere between Seoul and Busan, Jay and Jungwon find each other.

Summary
"Samchon?" a voice says quietly, and Heeseung glances up at the doorway, where Haeyoung stands. The four-year-old is dressed all nicely, her hair in cute little braids that her mother definitely helped her with in the morning, and her lip is trembling as she takes a small step forward. Jay stands behind her, and something in his eyes is quiet and sorrowful and a little pitying as he leaves, giving them space.
"Samchon," Haeyoung continues, taking another nervous step toward him and she's so small and her eyes are shaking so badly, "Jay said... he said eomma and appa aren't coming back."
Heeseung's mouth is dry, He doesn't know what to do, what to say.
"Samchon?" she pleads again, quietly.
"Haeyoung," Heeseung starts, slowly, but he can't find the words, so he shifts the baby in his arms around until one hand is free. He reaches toward her, and she barrels into his side, clutching at his shirt. Heeseung presses his cheek against her hair, wrapping his arm around her as Haeyoung starts to shake.
When Heeseung's brother and his wife pass away, they leave Heeseung and their two daughters alone in their wake. Two years later, he isn't expecting Yang Jungwon to come along to save him.
