Summary
“ He drags the microphone across his wrist, once, twice, three times, four. The feedback makes a low thump and his skin is red and he is bleeding. He’s throwing up. He is singing. He is bleeding out onstage and staining his clothes, he is burning bright red and black. The tattoo rings burn as he screams his scars into existence.
He doesn’t need the tattoos, the bands, anymore, anyway. He’s fine. “
or: i saw the videos of tyler dragging the mic across his wrist at shaky knees 2k26 and forgot i don’t usually feel comfortable writing rpf

Summary
Nico comes for Clancy again. This time, Clancy put up a fight. But that might not have been enough.
Thankfully, Torchbearer is to the rescue.
No one panic!
|-/
Torchbearer ran.
He’d never been much of a runner. He didn’t like it — he didn’t like the way his breaths became heavy, weighing in his chest, or the sweat that dribbled, or how his lungs would rattle. He wasn’t fast, either. That had never bothered him much.
Not until tonight.
Something was wrong. He could feel it in his chest, squeezing his stomach until he felt ill. He was sick.

Summary
Nova watched as beams of sunlight passed across the Torchbearer’s face, illuminating him in a golden glow that made his curly brown hair look like the flame he often carried. Moments like these reminded him of before, back in that small period of time when they had the luxury of a leisurely morning, back when the noise of the camp roused them slowly from their slumber.
The city was much quieter than the camp had ever been.
or: Nova has plans to bring some life back to the city, and wants Torch to be the first person to see.

Summary
Every Clancy that wandered into camp confused and broken had looked different. This particular Clancy was hopelessly pretty, and awfully fragile.
All but smothered in the Torchbearers hood, forest green accompanying chestnut eyes like an artist picked the colors just for each other, like mother earth stitched him together in her womb with oxygen, dirt, honey, and moss.
They begin the ever so paced process of trust. Slowly being tied together in the taut ropes of time, hands becoming familiar, fingerprints on hearts. Healing like there was time, because Torch had to believe that in this particular cycle, there would be.
