Summary
Early September, 1535. A king desires to leave his consort — an easy thing, if he were not a king.
Aizen Sosuke is the low-born Chief Secretary in Yhwach's poisonous Quincy court, carving out power for himself and climbing the ranks. Navigating political challenges and the machinations of his rival, the Lord Chancellor Urahara Kisuke, Aizen is tasked with finding a way for Yhwach to lawfully set his consort aside, and paving the way for the king's mysterious lover, Hirako Shinji, to ascend to the throne.
But the course of power never did run smooth, and Aizen quickly finds himself ensnared in Urahara and Shinji's game, leaving his allegiances tangled and plenty of room for jealousy to grow.
