Summary
It’s not right. It’s not right. Something is going to happen and take them away again, because he’s not allowed to have this. He can’t have this. Something always happens.
Something is almost always his fault. When you're so used to tragedy, a happy ending isn't as comforting as you'd expect it to be. But as always, when he runs, the people he loves find him. And maybe...now it's okay to stop and stay.

Summary
As Vash and Wolfwood travel together, it's too easy to forget who they are and what they’re facing. But all it takes is one gunfight or encounter with someone after Vash’s bounty for reality to come crashing down on them. Vash can never truly forget who he is, and Wolfwood can’t allow himself to forget the things he’s done (and what he’s there to do).
It's dangerous enough for them to be friends, they can't even allow themselves to think about anything more than that.
(Or, it's about the yearning.)

Summary
They’d had plenty of sex, by now. And not all of it had been brought on by the heightened emotions of a near escape. Some of it had even been almost normal—a little tipsy, a little tired, uninventive and giggly. But never like this: in the liminal time between one day and the next, between the comfortable haze of drowsiness and haunted shadows of deep-sleep paralysis, in the abandoned shell of a well-loved home. Vash can only sleep hard when he’s drunk, and Wolfwood can only relax when he’s sixty miles south of nowhere. Neither of them are either of those things right now.
