Etho sighed. As much as he didn’t want to, as much as he dreaded going back to their big empty house alone, as much as he hated the idea of growing old without Bdubs, Etho knew he was right. He nodded, tears pricking at his eyes. -

Summary
Lizzie falls into the void in the end and falls for days, until Scar accidentally causes her to respawn in her bed. They become close friends, despite Lizzie's dislike of him throughout the duration of Secret Life. But then, she is one day randomly brought into Wild Life. She has to deal with her trauma of being in the void, and the previous season, while wildcards happen. Nobody else seems to remember Secret Life, and she can't figure out why.

Summary
Joel wakes up to the smell of gunpowder.
The entire ship is awake and out of bed in seconds and it’s still not enough time. Footsteps storm up and down stairs and in the hull, desperate shouts for bandages or support nearly drowned out by the sound of cannon fire. Swirls of hot red flames lick at the sails too fast to be put out as large plumes of smoke billow into the air like smoke out of chimneys. Large holes litter the stern and the sides, ugly black rings marking their locations like a disease working its way through the cracks. The air tastes like ash, sparks glancing off of Joel’s longsword as he desperately tries to ward off the hoard of raiders trying to board the ship.
The ship was going down.

There isn’t really anything unusual about Etho’s life. Sure, there might be a school fan page dedicated to him. Sure, sometimes he can’t find it in himself to wake up. But that’s normal. His classmates are sad and tired and struggling. He isn’t struggling. He’s one of the top students in the school. He’s a great choir leader. He is a karate black belt. That’s what he wants to believe, at least, and that’s what he tells himself.

Summary
Joel does not fixate.
He never has. He moves through life smoothly, stays unbothered, stays untethered. People come and go and so does he. There are pretty boys and girls for anyone with eyes to see, there are friends for whoever is willing to share a smile and a cigarette or two, a story in every quaint coffee shop and in every small town bar. Why stay in one place, with one person? Where’s the fun in that? The novelty, the adventure, the thrill?
All that being said, though, tonight he can't seem to stop his staring at his best friend sitting beside him. How has he never focused on how pretty Etho is?
