    Summary

    Investigative reporter Helen Harper takes a lot of risks, so her newspaper is constantly assigning her bodyguards. Helen makes sure they never last long. But when Gina Mallory takes the job, everything changes. Because Helen actually likes Gina. Like like-likes her. Which means it’s going to be harder than ever for Helen to conceal the fact that she doesn’t need a bodyguard because she has super powers.

    The wind was blowing Helen’s blond hair into her face. Helen pushed it out of her way with a scowl, and the wind, which had been blowing strongly, died off immediately, as if it were afraid to anger her. It was an odd effect, with an even odder effect on Gina: making her equally surprised, confused, and somehow aroused, as if part of her, for some absurd reason, thought that Helen Harper could actually control the wind.

    Fic is rated E just for the chapter I tacked on at the end for those who might want smut. Otherwise, the fic is rated T.
