He blinked in surprise as a pair of arms wound around his waist, and Newt was unable to protest as the arms deposited him on the nearby shore. "Who," Newt started, spluttering up water and trying again. "Who are you?" Newt asked, trying to get his eyes to focus on the person who had saved him. The rain was still showering him though, and his eyes were absolutely refusing to focus.
"A friend." A soft, musical voice answered, and Newt suddenly felt like he was being cocooned in a warm, fuzzy blanket. He felt a hand on his temple and he hissed, trying to get away. The hand immediately disappeared. "You hit your head when you fell, I think," The voice said after a moment, and then the hand returned to his temple, very lightly pressing down on the wound. Newt made a sound of protest, but when quiet, soothing singing filled the air in a language he didn't recognize, and the pain in his temple died down, he fell silent.
The last thing Newt felt before he drifted into an easy sleep was a pair of soft lips brushing against his forehead.

Summary
Eden was exhausted. After spending two years trapped in the Maze and barely scraping by during the final battle, she was perfectly content with sitting back and allowing their supposed saviours to handle the rest. But when the hidden horrors of their so-called sanctuary finally come to light, she has no choice but to escape into the Scorch alongside her friend and a group of peculiar strangers.
Eden is small and frail, in no way suited to withstand this now-post-apocalyptic world. But she is determined to survive and strive towards a goal of her own - to find the cure.

Summary
You are a new senior student at Glade Academy for the Gifted and Talented. You are transferring from public school to this new private boarding school, of which your best friend, Teresa, attends. Soon, you meet her classmates Thomas, Newt, Minho, Brenda, and the rest of the crew, and you all become easy friends. Eventually, this new school seems to be natural to you; intensive studying during the day, goofing off between classes, and homework at night.
That is, until the seniors decide to throw a final year party, and everything changes.
After a major fight breaks out between different club members during the party, it ends in severe punishment and one of the students in a coma. Afterwards, everything begins to go downhill from there. Anonymous threats, students being targeted and hurt, and, strangest of all, the name of the unknown attacker; WICKED.
When it becomes clearer with every passing moment that your classmates are the main subjects towards these incidents, you and some of your new friends take it upon yourselves to expose the culprit behind these crimes and to bring them to an end, and you won't stop until you do.
Even if that means you're WICKED's next victim.
