Summary
The Moon and Coronet was not the finest coffeehouse in Ferria, or the oldest, or the most popular, or in any way superlative. It was close to the university; on this it survived. Irene had kept it alive. She had worked there for seven years and owned it for the last two. It was not what Irene had expected for her life's work.
Irene just wants to make coffee in peace and enjoy the intellectual life of Ferria. When a trio of strangers from the Little Peninsula turn up in her shop, she takes a chance on befriending them. She soon finds out the things you left behind you don't always leave you behind.
