Summary
He was not in the mood for grandeur. He cut Financial Management class and told Kabaji he would like to be left alone for a while. The incessant chatter around him was too loud and the day was too fair. It was not doing his melancholy mood any good. He needed the world to be as miserable as he was. Since he knew that wouldn't happen, he needed some peace and quiet, alone with his thoughts.

He pulled the reins of his horse and stared, dumbfounded. The drums weren't playing their hymn. The blue of the uniforms approaching them from behind were not the same shade as their own.

Summary
It all started with a careless answer to, despite the light nature, an important question.
The simple "no comment", uttered by Akira in the face of an informal interview on the talented calligrapher's artistic endeavours has snowballed into a desperate battle fought in midst of burgeoning emotions previously ignored. To him it may only be a roundabout yet honest assessment on how he sees calligraphy, but for Raku it is much more than brushed ink on paper - it's his entire being.
Now that Wakaouji Raku is on the warpath, let it be known that he's someone who always responds to challenges.

Summary
Renji decided he would never understand his captain... and he decided as well that he would look for the reason why it seemed he could never understand him, eliminate it, and analyse better so he could fulfil one of his lifelong vows.
As he stared at the retreating back and the division insignia scrawled in tasteful calligraphy, he thought how wonderful it would be to wear something as dignified-looking as the captain's coat.
Unbeknownst to Byakuya, he had tried the spare coats hidden in one of the drawers twice, and even though it was ill fitting since he was broader than his captain was, he felt indestructible.
Sighing inwardly, he shuffled forward. It wasn't as if he would be wearing one anytime soon.
'Never doubt a good thing.' He scolded himself. 'Better get to that stupid document... signing beside his name – whatever is Kuchiki-taichou thinking?'

Erwin nods determinedly, eyes hard and steadfast as if he’s a soldier going into battle.
“Only in here.” He repeats quietly.
