Summary
He was emboldened by the thought that Mirage couldn’t see him. It wasn’t rational – he’d asked Mirage once and been told he had ‘like, maybe ten’ senses. Not being able to see was pretty clearly not an impediment to knowing what was going on inside the car. But still – it helped.
He went on rubbing circles over the crotch of his jeans. “Well?” he said again.
Noah gets drunk. Mirage smells like new car smell.

He trusted Mirage fine but sometimes when they were fooling around something would go off in some deep part of his lizard hindbrain and his body would go danger, you’re in danger and the resulting rush of adrenaline when he was already pretty turned on was liable to make him dizzy.

He likes cars. Right? That’s normal. It’s normal to think nice cars are a little hot. Not hot the way a girl is hot, but still. Hot.

There’s a long pause.
“A date?” says Mirage after the long pause. “Whaaat? No. Nah. Of course not. That’s dumb. Nah. Nope. Of course it’s not a date. It’s, uh – we’re – do, uh, do you want it to be a date?”
Okay.
“Do you want it to be a date?” Noah shoots back.
“I asked you first.”
Noah realises he might be for real attracted to giant space robots. Mirage just wants to get dicked down again. They talk about their feelings.
