He rests his left elbow onto the countertop and leans over the bar to Franky. “I’ll have what she’s having.”
The words are barely out of his mouth when she launches herself out of the stool, slamming his lower back into the edge of the bar and pressing her knife against his neck, just enough for a drop of blood to trickle out and onto the blade.
He grunts at the force of the impact, and white-knuckle grips onto the edge of the countertop to maintain his balance and catch his breath. She watches as his eyes rove over her face. “That’s some way to greet your old partner, Princess.”
On the heels of a botched train heist, Thorn Princess, the renowned outlaw, finds herself alone and unsure of how she’s going to break her gang out of the highest security prison on the Ostanian frontier.
But when her former partner-in-crime Twilight, the infamous gunslinger of the West, recruits her for a job promising her gang's freedom, riches, and a full pardon for all of her past crimes, Thorn Princess finds herself unable to refuse.
