“Beg, Stark. I want to hear you.”
My first reaction was to tell him to shove it. Starks didn't beg. I didn't beg. But god, I wanted to! I wanted to beg him until my throat would go raw. My eyes suddenly snapped open and then a moment later drops of cold sweat formed on my forehead. There, further in the room stood Steve Rogers, watching me-us with intense blue piercing eyes. He just stood there like it was the most natural place for him to be. Like he had any right to see what he'd so eagerly refused to have for himself. Like he didn't care how much he'd hurt me.He stood there and I knew I should have felt embarrassed, angry, humiliated, but I found myself meeting Stephen's body and begging loudly instead.
