Summary
Tony Stark would have never thought he could live in the abusing relationship. When it happened once, he forgave him, because he loved Steve Rogers more than was healthy, but after that one night he just can not. And if the price of his recovery comes with a hatred from his team, he could survive that. And surviving with Stephen Strange at his side just may be a little bit easier.
“I told him what happened. We had a fight. I told him how I was feeling about our relationship, that it wasn't working for me anymore, that something must change.” He took a deep breath, wiping his eyes again. “He called me a whore.”

“Beg, Stark. I want to hear you.”
My first reaction was to tell him to shove it. Starks didn't beg. I didn't beg. But god, I wanted to! I wanted to beg him until my throat would go raw. My eyes suddenly snapped open and then a moment later drops of cold sweat formed on my forehead. There, further in the room stood Steve Rogers, watching me-us with intense blue piercing eyes. He just stood there like it was the most natural place for him to be. Like he had any right to see what he'd so eagerly refused to have for himself. Like he didn't care how much he'd hurt me.He stood there and I knew I should have felt embarrassed, angry, humiliated, but I found myself meeting Stephen's body and begging loudly instead.

Summary
The choice was made. Anthony Edward Stark was supposed to become a human sacrifice for the Bird-king, a very old demon plaguing the lives of villagers. Chained to the stone, on his knees, and waiting for his death or worse, the white veil from his head is slowly lifted and the eyes of the demon and the blacksmith meet for the first time. Neither of them expects what happens next.
