    Summary

Given the whole situation, Martin supposes he should probably be grateful that he’s been put in a full day time loop. Had this happened in his temporal present, he would’ve probably asked Zoe for his phone to not reset either, so he could somehow record the phenomenon and get some Nobel Prize for proving all those hack fraud scientists wrong with their time theories. Then he wouldn’t have to play video games to save his life anymore, and live in luxury with the prize money and spend his days holed up in his room, playing WoW and other more interesting games until the end of time.

But he wasn’t exactly a masochist, and he didn’t actually want to replay the day Perkz leaves over and over again. Dully, he feels like he’s stuck in one of those terrible roguelike games, in that period where you didn’t have a lot of in game currency, nor upgrades in order to carry you over to the next act of the game, so you were stuck grinding out the same dungeons, the same enemies, over and over again until suddenly, something works and you make your way out of monotony. Except, Martin was really stuck, and he didn’t know what exactly he had to do to get himself out.
