Toya wasn't sure when this problem started happening, but if he had to guess, then he would say that it started three days ago. It's around half past midnight and he still couldn't manage to fall asleep. No matter what he tried, he just couldn't find himself falling asleep.
By the time he felt himself losing consciousness, it would already be morning. He forced himself to get up so he could meet up with Akito and the others for practice.
'This'll do,' Toya thought as he bought himself a cup of coffee before heading towards their meeting place. The fourth day of no sleep was starting to take a toll on his body, but he decided to push forward not wanting to bring their group down.
"Toya?" No response. "Toya!" Toya turned to look at whoever was calling his name. He was zoning out. By the time he snapped back into reality, he came face to face with three worried faces looking straight at him.
"Are you okay? Have you been getting enough sleep?" An questioned, clear concern in her voice. Toya blinked a couple times hoping they didn't notice the black bags under his eyes. He tried his best to cover those up not wanting to worry those around him.
"Definitely. I got plenty of sleep last night," Toya lied. Today was the date they had scheduled for a live event and he didn't want them to drop out just because he didn't get sleep.
"Alright then.. well that's all for practice. We'll meet at the live house at noon." An stated, worry still present in her voice. Toya hadn't noticed it, but Akito was staring at him with a look of annoyance and worry. Akito wasn't sure what it was, but something felt wrong to him.
Toya felt the exhaustion taking a toll on his body. He knew he should've told the others, but he couldn't. He couldn't let them drop out of the show because of him. He couldn't let everything go wrong because of him. He has to stay in so he can support his team.
'I can last until the end of this' Toya thought, taking a deep breath in. It wasn't until they started that he realized he couldn't last even one of their songs. About halfway through, his vision started to blur and then all he saw was darkness.
The first thing he saw when he regained consciousness was a white ceiling. The first thought he had was about how he had messed everything up. It wasn't until he recollected his thoughts that he felt something putting a bit of pressure on his legs. When he looked towards the direction, he saw Akito dozing off.
Eventually, Akito woke up and when he saw Toya awake he felt relieved. "Toya!" He was happy but then he got annoyed at how poorly Toya was treating himself.
"Try to get more sleep, I understand you have trouble with sleeping but if you ever feel tired just sleep. If it's the morning, just sleep." Akito said out of worry. He hated seeing Toya in a poor state, blaming himself and whatnot.
"I'll try, but I can't guarantee anything." Toya replied staring back at the ceiling. It was calming in a way. Knowing that his friends weren't angry with him, or knowing that they worried about him. Maybe it would be fine just to take a nap. Maybe he would be able to sleep right here and now.
