Chapter Text
Felix wasn’t one to party. He was a stay at home, have drinks with friends and play board games kind of person. At most, he’d drink 3 drinks with his friends and call it a good time. But, he was on vacation and determined to make the most of his trip while he was here in the city of sin, Las Vegas. He’d planned the vacation with his now ex about 6 months ago. But when he found his ex cheating, he broke up with him. He’d forgotten about the plane tickets and hotel reservations until he’d gotten an email about the upcoming trip. He’d asked for the time off when he’d first booked the trip, so he didn’t need to worry about that. But he had an extra ticket. So he’d invited his friend from work, Minho.
Minho was only a little bit older then Felix, but he was a good friend. So Felix invited him to go on the trip with him. Which is how Felix found himself going to night clubs and doing things he wouldn’t normally do, because he wanted to enjoy his trip and have the time of his life.
When Felix woke up, his head was pounding, but more then anything, he felt like he was going to throw up. He breathed deep through his nose, trying to calm his stomach but it wasn’t helping at all. Feeling the world tilt, he sat up quickly and opened his eyes. He saw the bathroom door open and ran to it, he didn’t turn the lights on as he threw himself in front of the toilet and starting throwing up. He had never drank so much in his life before.
He’d easily thrown up everything he’d eaten last night and all the drinks. Once he finally stopped, he rested his head against his arm, trying to get the world to stop moving. Closing his eyes, he fell asleep with his face against the side of the tub, legs tucked under him.
The next time he woke up, he was laying on the bathroom floor. Opening his eyes again, he saw the light on.
“Are you okay?” Someone asked him.
“Huh?” He asked, he wasn’t understanding what was being sad to him, he was still trying to open his eyes and not throw up again.
“Are you okay?” The person standing to his right asked.
“What’s going on?” He mumbled.
“What’s your name?” It took him a moment to realize that the question wasn’t being asked in English.
“Felix.” He replied.
The person nodded, “well, it’s nice to meet you.” The person responded, but it took Felix a second to realize he was speaking Korean.
He didn’t respond because he was gagging and throwing up again. Felix missed what he said, but there was a hand rubbing on his back. It took a few moments but he stopped throwing up again. He rested his face against his arm. He tried to not think about how dirty the toilet probably was. His stomach calmed for a moment before he was throwing up for a third time, but nothing was really coming up. It was just stomach acid.
“Here.” The nameless person said. Felix took the cup and rinsed his mouth out and spit it into the toilet.
“My name is Changbin.” The person introduced himself. Felix nodded and then gagged again, but didn’t throw up.
Once Felix stopped, the person paused and then said, “so here’s the thing…”
Felix mumbled, “huh?”
“So…I think we’re married…”
“What?!” Felix questioned, more awake.
“We’re married….”
Felix stared at him with his mouth open. He gagged again but nothing came up. Flushing the toilet, he tried to move so he could get up but he was too dizzy. His hands felt clammy, everything felt sweaty. Looking down, he realized he was only wearing a large T-shirt.
“What happened?” He asked in English.
“Do you know Korean?”
“A little.” Felix replied.
Changbin nodded, “we met in the club, we were drunk, we got married, and I think we had sex. Do you understand?”
Felix let what Changbin said, sit in his brain for a moment and then he replied, “Oh my god.” He’d never drank so much that he blacked out before. The memory of the night before is gone after taking his third tequila shot. That’s the last thing he remembered clearly.
“We’re married?” Felix questioned.
“There’s a certificate in the other room…Do you also know a Lee Minho?”
“Yes, why?” Felix questioned quickly.
“Well….it seems that he married my friend… as their certificate is next to ours….”
Felix, up until this point, had been taking the information semi alright. Hearing that Minho was married to a stranger, the shock of the situation caused him to pass out. He’d still been sitting on the floor, he hadn’t felt strong enough to get up yet, so when he passed out, he only fell into the wall.
“Shit.” Changbin panicked. He gently picked Felix up and took him to the bed. Chan was awake and talking to his ‘husband’, he could hear voices in the other room. After setting Felix on the bed, he’d gone into the living room area, having an apartment suite in the hotel wasn’t awful, it was actually pretty nice. There was two bedrooms, a living room and a small kitchen.
“Chan?” Changbin called out.
“Yeah?”
“What the hell is going on?” Changbin sighed. He entered the living room to see a stranger sitting on the couch glaring at Chan.
“Apparently we both married random strangers last night. How we managed that, I don’t know.” Chan said with a deep sigh, he was stressed out already.
“I thought they don’t let you marry if you’re drunk…and can’t we just say it’s a mistake, and get it overturned?” Changbin questioned.
“You’d think, but somehow, we managed to go to the one courthouse that signs off on marriages, and they’re real. How they let us do it when we were drunk, is a different story.” The stranger cut in.
“You are….Felix’s…friend?” Changbin asked.
“Yes. Where is he?”
“He threw up a lot, and the shock made him pass out. He’s in the bed.”
Minho jumped up, “And you didn’t think to say something?”
“Is it bad?”
“It’s not good.” Minho glared and then stormed into the bedroom. Felix lay under the covers, tucked in. So Changbin wasn’t totally awful, he didn’t just throw Felix on the bed and leave him there.
“Felix.” Minho said, shaking his shoulder. He repeated his name over and over until Felix finally woke up.
“Minho?” He questioned.
“How are you feeling?”
“My head hurts…I had a dream….we married strangers…”
“Lix…I wish I could say that was a dream, but somehow it’s not. We married strangers…”
“What?”
“Yeah…it’s something….I don’t know what to do…”
“It’s legal?”
“Apparently. We have all the paperwork.”
“What are we going to do?” Felix questioned and then gagged again.
Minho grabbed the trashcan from the bathroom and handed it to him.
“Try to not throw up, but if you do, do it into the trashcan.”
Felix nodded. “I’ve never drank this much in my life.”
“Have you told them anything?” Minho questioned.
“Only that I speak a little Korean and my name.”
“you’re doing well right now, so you should be fine.”
“I only know how to talk to you without sounding like a baby, or not confident.”
“But you understood everything he told you?”
Felix nodded. His Korean was getting better every day, when he first met Minho, he could barely understand because his Korean was shit. Now, he was able to survive his day to day life in Korea- buying food, riding the subway, and working. He worked in dance company, he was able to understand things related to dance thanks to Minho teaching him everything he needed to know.
“I can’t believe we’re married to strangers.” Felix sighed and threw his head back into the pillows- he’d sat up when he was gagging.
“Hot strangers.” Minho laughed.
“I guess that’s the bright side. Changbin-ssi is really handsome.”
“I can’t help but think they look familiar.” Minho sighed. He sat in the bed beside Felix. “Those hickies on your neck are crazy. He marked you up good.”
Felix turned bright red in horror, “Hyunggg that’s too much. I don’t even remember sleeping with him. But I can feel that I did.”
“I’m sorry..” Minho sad sadly. He thought he also slept with whom he’d now call his husband. “I don’t remember sleeping with Chan either. But my body does.”
“I’m so tired.”
“Me too. This is so chaotic…What do we do?” Minho questioned.
“At least we’re in this together….we’re supposed to fly home tomorrow, but who knows now.”
“Let’s talk to those two and ask if we can have the marriage dissolved and we all pretend this didn’t happen.”
Felix nodded. He felt embarrassed to have drank so much to get himself into this situation.
Minho found the clothes on the floor that was Felix’s and helped him get dressed. Every time he moved too quickly, he gagged. Once he was dressed- he didn’t like that he didn’t feel clean, but he wanted to be clothed and leave this hotel room and go back to his own. His skin felt dirty from whatever happened the night before. He’d take a long hot shower the moment he stopped gagging.
Together the two walked to the living room area.
“Can we get the marriage dissolved?” Minho asked.
“We called our PR team, they’re looking into it. They’re pissed as hell at us, and they want us to stay in this hotel room until they figure out how they handle this situation.” Changbin offered.
“PR?” Minho questioned.
“So we’re two of three members of a group called 3racha…”
“What the hell.” Felix mumbled. He knew of them kinda, because of Hyunjin and Hyunjin’s friend Seungmin.
“Do you know our group?” Chan asked.
“Kinda.” Felix mumbled at the same time Minho mumbled, “no.”
“Like how well?” Chan questioned.
“To know you’re a hip hop group, and there’s 3 of you…and it’s mostly my friend who likes you. I just film the dance covers.” Felix replied.
“I see.” Chan responded.
“Where are you guys from?” Changbin asked.
“Gimpo technically, but Seoul.” Minho replied.
Felix only said, “Australia.”
“NO way.” Chan said, dropping out of Korean into English.
Felix could hear his accent. “I’m from Sydney.” He added.
“Me too!” Chan smiled.
“I’m from Seoul kinda too.” Changbin added.
“What do you guys do?” Chan questioned.
“We’re backup dancers at an entertainment company, or like we dance at a company that often gets contracted by bigger companies.” Minho answered. Felix was letting him lead the conversations. Everyone was talking so fast, he couldn’t keep up and he didn’t want to ask them to speak slower for him.
“That’s so cool!” Changbin replied.
“What company?” Chan asked.
“Currently it’s under hype. But we’ve been all over.”
“Really?” Changbin questioned.
“Yeah…So why are you in Vegas?” Minho questioned.
“We’re on tour. We just started the tour about 3 days ago in LA.” Changbin replied.
“Oh wow.” Minho hummed.
Felix sat there, starting to zone out, blanking out the conversation, trying to not feel like he was going to throw up again.
“Felix?” Minho questioned softly.
“Mhm?” He mumbled. He didn’t know when, but he’d apparently closed his eyes.
“Are you okay?”
“My stomach hurts.” He whispered.
Minho put a hand to Felix’s forehead. He’d thrown up a lot, but he should be done throwing up. “I think you need to eat something so it will stop hurting.”
Felix shook his head. He didn’t want to eat, not when he’d be looking at it a second time when he eventually threw it up.
“Felix.” Minho said softly.
“I just want to go back to bed, in my bed.” Felix mumbled.
“Unfortunately, we’re not to leave this room at all. Apparently the media got wind that Chan and I went out to a club last night, and it’s a little busy in the media…they don’t have your names or information, but they did comment on that we’d been dancing with two strangers in the club and were seen leaving with them…nothing on the marriage yet.” Changbin told them.
Felix wanted to cry, he felt so humiliated. He’d gotten so drunk he’d gotten married, he couldn’t stop throwing up, he looked and felt like shit, and was supposedly married to a semi well known rapper who was a current rising star in Korea. Like this was only going to go badly. Once it hit the internet, it’d be really bad.
“We can order food if you’d like.” Chan offered.
Minho nodded, “something light for him, he’s got a weak stomach.” Minho reasoned. He also knew, Felix wouldn’t eat it. Before their trip, their company told them that all dancers needed to fit into this next costume and it had gone roughly. Minho’s waist barely fit in the pants, and his thighs were about to rip when he danced. Felix, his pants were barely fitting too. But by the second fitting, which had been like two months later, the pants were big on him. Minho saw what he was doing, but he couldn’t say a word, because he was guilty of the same thing.
Thinking back, Minho realized that Felix hadn’t eaten nearly all day, and the alcohol hit him nearly twice as hard, let alone how much he drank. Minho could remember more then Felix did. He remembered dancing on the dance floor, and then somehow they got the idea to get married. He didn’t know where it came from, but once they had the idea, it sounded like the best idea.
“Go take a shower, and lay down, and the food will be here shortly.” Chan suggested.
Felix nodded. Minho helped him to the bathroom. “Let’s shower quickly.”
“Together?” Felix questioned.
“It’ll save time, besides you can barely stand. You’ve got your eyes barely open, and I don’t want you to fall and hit your head alone in the bathroom. We’ve showered before.”
Felix shook away the thoughts he had that he was going to reply with. Instead, he just agreed and let Minho lead him to the bathroom. Minho had turned the water on and let it get hot before pulling off his clothes and helping Felix out of his.
The hot water had felt nice on Felix’s back. Prior to this trip, Felix had been doing shows with the group TxT. They had a series of shows in Seoul that he’d preformed in. He’d managed to ask for his week and a Half vacation long enough in advance that they worked it out for him to go on. It was lucky, because his dance captain had been excited when Felix told him it was an anniversary trip for his relationship- celebrating 3 years of being together. But then Felix found out about a month after the trip was booked, that his ex was cheating and had been for awhile. Unfortunately the window to cancel the trip had closed, an Felix was stuck with all the payments and vacation. Minho offered and gave Felix some money to help offset the costs where he could. He felt absolutely upset when Felix told him that he’d caught his ex in bed with another person. Turns out, it wasn’t even just once person, but several. The trip became a well deserved break from reality. Felix had thrown himself into dancing, so much so that Minho was worried.
The hot water relaxed his back muscles. “Do I have a lot of hickies?” Felix questioned.
“Oh a ton. But most are able to be hidden. So don’t worry too much. By the time we get home, they’ll be easier to cover with makeup.”
“I just don’t want to get in trouble in front of everyone.”
“I know, I hate when they put someone and then discuss why they are in trouble in front of everyone.” Minho sighed.
“What happens if this doesn’t go away like we think?”
“We figure it out as we go…” Minho offered.
Minho rinsed Felix’s hair and then took the shower hose and helped him hose his body off before Felix did the same for him. Once they were both clean, they dried off and got redressed into their day old club clothes. Felix didn’t want to put his boxers back on dirty, so he risked it and went without underwear. Minho told him to take it easy and not rush. Felix crawled into the bed, and he was instantly out again once his head hit the pillow. Minho watched Felix fall asleep before he did the same. This situation was far from ideal, but Minho figured there was worse people to be accidentally married to- like serial killers and murderers. Chan and Changbin seemed pretty normal despite the fact they were famous- but Minho was used to working with idols and was thus unfazed by meeting them. He hoped they figured something out quickly, he didn’t want to miss too much work. As it was, they’d be slightly behind in rehearsal, and probably more then likely to receive comments about how they gained weight during their vacation. Something Minho hated to deal with, especially with how sad it made Felix. Watching Felix struggle, often made him feel sad. So he tried to make sure they didn’t go too wild on this vacation, but it seems that they still got wild enough to land themselves in this situation. He just hoped they could get out of it without too much of a mess being made.
