Henry’s heart lurches painfully as he nods. “Yeah, of course,” he replies, his voice hoarse with the onslaught of emotion running through his body.

This time Henry only hums in response, his heart beating so erratically, Alex must hear it.
“You absolutely can say no and I will never ever hold it against you because this is seriously not something friends do for each other, even if you are best friends, but –”
“Yes,” Henry interrupts him breathless before he feels himself blush hard. He clears his throat before he tries again. “I-I mean,” he stutters nervously, “you can, you know, kiss me. If it helps you figure things out.”
