Summary

Art lifts his arm so he can look at his friend, an eyebrow arched.
“We didn’t lie,” he says. When Patrick shoots him a knowing look paired with his usual smirk, he continues, “Besides, she wouldn’t have gotten with either one of us if she thought we were gay.”
“But we’re not.”
“Exactly.”
“I just think it must’ve been pretty obvious.”
“What?”
Patrick turns on his side to face Art. The other boy is looking at the ceiling. His face is red and he wonders if it’s because of what has just occurred, or because of the conversation that’s starting.
Patrick clears his throat and says, “You know. The fact that we’d done this before.”
… or a hopeful interpretation of all the gaps the movie leaves us with.
