6 Years have passed since the Qliphoth tree was cut down, sealing the legendary devil hunters Dante and Vergil within the Underworld, never to be seen or heard from again within the mercenary world, or by what little family they left behind.
Enter Solo, a 23-year-old man with a serious case of retrograde amnesia, having settled into a pretty mundane life within the outskirts of Red Grave City, caring for his single mother, Lilita without much issue.
After a frantic phone-call during work, Solo rushes to his shoddy apartment to find it ransacked by demons and his mother nowhere to be found, nary a lead in her whereabouts.
Armed with the sentient sword Calypso, Solo embarks on his quest to find his mother from the unknown, meeting a mysterious stranger by the name of Graecian, who points Solo to the only place that can help him within the city:Devil May Cry.
