Summary
Scott awoke from his very long nap to find a human exploring the crypt he'd been imprisoned within. Instead of being creeped out or leaving, she offers to bring him back to their camp. Curiosity wins out, and he ends up joining the odd group of humans as they travel between the city and the ruins of Oakhurst, attempting to discover the place's secrets. His initial goal is to gather information on things that have changed in his slumber and then regain his power, but these humans pique his interests in a way he hasn't experienced before.

Scott finds himself roommate to a very oblivious human, and the strangeness of this new time and these humans ends up intriguing him more than his bloodlust.
