Until the daunting figure that stood before him raised their hands and all the colors that lingered around him like a galaxy morphed into oddly shaped stars, distant and familiar-except nothing could have been familiar-and shot high above him.
His hand rose, because that scraping, violating feeling that dug out those colors, had left him feeling… had left him knowing…

He didn’t know what to think, didn’t know what was right, didn't know what was wrong.
