Summary
Connie always told herself that her life was perfect. That is, until she and everyone else lost everything they had ever known. The cracks in her perfect life cannot help but follow her when she watches her husband die, his murderer snatching her son from his arms. Cryogenically frozen, she can do nothing but watch. When she wakes up, however, she's met with a world ravaged by nuclear warfare, radiation and the worst of the human spirit. In a remarkable feat of resilience, Connie ventures into the wasteland in search of her son. It turns out, though, her husband is not nearly as dead as she thought... and having met new people in this strange world, who have taught her what real perfection is, she can't help but wonder... how will she find her son and preserve the happiness she's carved for herself?
Essentially, fallout 4 but I take the bare skeleton of the plot and replace the flesh of it, and to make it novelized. Relationships will be developed, people will be lost, stakes will be raised...and through it all is a woman trying her best. Through love, through loss, through grief and acceptance, and hope enduring.
