"Zam get out of the bathroom already I'm gonna be late!" Rejoice banged on the door, scaring said person slightly. Zam let out a small shriek at the banging."Oh fuck off rejoice you almost ruined my hair!" zam retaliated loudly at her brother's statement. "What's the thing even on between you and tai? You guys were like mortal enemies since we were kids, friends for a bit then back to being tense again. I'm actually surprised that he even agree to be your Valentine's," Strangely, her usually outspoken brother went quiet after hearing her and just muttered something about telling her to just quickly finish up so he could use the bathroom. Strange, but it's her brother rejoice she's talking about here. He's always had a weird relationship with tai anyways. Shaking her head, she hastily finished up the last of her hair and packed her things to put in the cabinet above the sink.
On her way to her room, she pasted rejoice's room which she saw had it's door slightly ajar. "Wouldn't hurt to peak inside for a bit" she thought. Peaking her head in, she was met with rejoice holding a photo with him and someone who she assumed was tai due to the dark void like skin colour he had. His whole body was tense and his mouth was pressed into a thin line. "Uh, the bathroom's free for use now you know," she informed the other who was lost in thought. "OH MY GOODNESS!" Rejoice snapped out of his thoughts, nearly dropping the framed photo as he stumbled to catch it, holding it tightly to his chest as if to protect it. "Oh my goodness can you like - not do that next time? And how long have you been standing there?" Pointing a finger with wide eyes and face full of bewilderment at his sibling. Wanting to avoid a lecture from rejoice, she swiftly said that she needed to go and ran to her room.
She changed out of her pajamas and into her favourite dress before adding a few accessories to her outfit and putting on her crown. Grabbing her bag, she wasted no time fishing out her comms and teleporting to lifesteal as she closed her eyes in sync with the world as it blackened around her.
Once her vision came back, her looked around spawn for a bit before heading towards the coordinates pangi had sent her the day before saying that he had a surprise. Reaching the place, zam found herself at a cherry grove forest with a picnic mat set up nearby. "Breathtaking isn't it?" Zam chuckled at the voice's suggestion of the place's look. "It really is pangi. But remind me, why was it so far away from spawn? I fear I might have spent more time just traveling here than styling my beautiful hair," "I noticed your hair. How could I not when it frames such a captivating face? I'm sorry about the distance though darling. Let's go sit down now or this'll all be for nothing," zam nodded as pangi took her hand and led her to the mat. "Here, a slice of cake from your favorite bakery," he offered, taking it out from a basket decorated with colourful ribbons and bows. "Squiddo must have helped him with that. How lovely," she thought to herself as she begin eating.
"So, what is that surprise you told me about?" Zam asked, putting down her plate. She watched as pangi stood up and walked to a chest she didn't see before and pull out something. "Happy Valentine's Day my love," he said, passing her what she could see now as a bouquet of sunflowers and kissed her on the cheek. "Aww, I love you too but why sunflowers?" She asked, holding the bouquet like fragile glass that would break if she wasn't careful. "Well, it symbolizes adoration, loyalty and joy. I adore you lots and lots, I swear my loyalty forever to you and the things that bring you joy bring me joy," pangi answered. As he did so, he moved from sitting across for zam to beside her, leaning his head idly on her shoulder. Zam swore that as he went on, she could have felt her cheeks flush and her fins stiffen slightly, not sure wether it was from the flatterly or love. Seeing pangi leaning on her shoulder, she replicated his actions, turning her head to place a hasty kiss on his forehead before chuckling at her lover stumbling over his words, tail flailing at the sudden action as she placed her head on his.
"So, how was today?" The pangolin hybrid asked, sunglasses pushed up onto his head to show off his orange irises. "Wonderful as all the other times I spend with you."zam hummed. "See you again tomorrow for the session?" The pangolin asked again, pushing a strand of hair out of her face."Yeah, bye now. I don't want to deal with another lecture from rejoice for being out so late," "Don't you have wemmbu to help you out with that?" Pangi asked, tail curling a bit in curiosity. "Not this time I guess. I'd assume he's most likely staying at egg's or another one of his friend's tonight," she shrugged. "Seems about right," the other nodded as they waved at each other one last time before they both logged off.

Truthfully, Wemmbu wasn't even home half the time. Well, he used to be around more often but after filming rejoice's death, he stormed in during his off day saying that rejoice should have actually put in effort to fight off the wardens, given how good he was in combat while her brother retaliated by saying that it was for the sake of the plot. This escalated into a screaming match that lasted for god knows how long and inspired multiple other fights. When these happened, zam would either put in headphones in her room or she was already out the window and going to planet's house for comfort and cuddles. Planet always offered the best cuddles and made the best cookies; it was clear zam was glad to have planet as a friend.
As her vision came back, she begrudgingly exited her room to survey the house. "Dark, empty, quiet; same as always" she sighed, retuning to her room to change. As she was laying on her bed scrolling, tai's number came up on her screen. "Weird," she surprisingly didn't question it too hard as she picked up his call. "Hello? Tai? You need something?" "Oh hi zam yeah I'm just calling to tell you that 'joice is at my place tonight. He's a bit drunk and he's currently hugging my like a teddy bear as if he doesn't remember what he did. Good night zam," tai muttered the last part under his breath making zam strain her ears hard to just barely be able to hear it. What did her stupid brother do this time anyways? Whatever, at least she doesn't need to take care of a hung over rejoice. He really was more annoying than normal in that state. She also planned on inviting planet over so it's kind of a win-win situation.

"Zammmmm I'm here. Can you open the door?" At the sound of the front door being knocked, zam jumped out of bad ecstatically, opening the door for planet as they walked in with a smile and a container of chocolate chip cookies. They went hand in hand to zam's room and chatted for a long time while eating the cookies planet made before they realized what time it was. "Come on zam, it's like 12 right now we have to sleep," they sighed, placing the cover back onto the container and putting it on the nightstand. "Man I really wanted to stay up longer," zam pouted, earning her a laugh from her friend. "Hey! Don't laugh at me man," she lightly punched them while laughing as well. "Alright, alright. If you go to sleep now I'll bake you an entire batch of fresh cookies of whatever flavour you want. Deal?" They managed to coax zam into sleeping with the promise of cookies. "Planet, can I cuddle with you?" She poked at her half asleep friend, pulling herself closer to planet as they hummed a response out. She wrapped her arms around them and a leg over theirs before feeling the land of sleep start greeting to him. She heard the sound of planet wishing her goodnight just before she blacked out, having a peaceful dream.
