Summary
The thing is, Buck thought he and Eddie had been dating. After the shooting, after his partner told him that he was Christopher's legal guardian, after he moved in with the Diazes, after he abandoned Eddie's couch for Eddie's bed...
No...They were definitely together. Just...without the sex. Buck was willing to wait...More than that...Buck had no problem never having sex again if it meant waking up next to Eddie for the rest of his life. Until Eddie announced he was ready to start dating again.
Rated as explicit for the last chapter, but it can be skipped.

Summary
After months of agonizing about how to tell his team that he was an omega, the truth came out on a regular Tuesday afternoon.
Chimney was showing them an ultrasound a victim from an accident a few weeks back had sent him, thanking Chim for his help saving his girlfriend and unborn child.
“They are the size of a peanut right now, just this small.” Buck was explaining to Christopher, fingers an inch apart.
“Whoa! Was I ever that small, dad?” Chris asked, looking up at Eddie, “Back when I was in your tummy?” He added, placing a hand on Eddie's stomach.
Eddie could hear the sharp intakes of breath, but he kept his eyes on Chris, placing a hand on top of his son’s and answering “Yeah bud, back when you were living right here.”
He forced himself to be brave then, taking a deep breath and holding on to his son’s hand, he looked up at the others. Both Chim and Buck looked shocked.
Buck had his hand raised towards him as if he too, was going to place it on Eddie's stomach.

Summary
“You have a good partner, Eddie.”
Eddie flushes, because he knows that her partner isn’t the same as work partner. It’s an assumption they had never bothered to correct at Christopher’s school, mostly because it made it easier for people to understand why Buck was around so often, versus best friend or colleague or legal guardian in case I die.
“Yeah,” Eddie responds, his voice thicker than he expected. “He’s the best partner I could ask for.”
Or: Christopher hosts a sleepover, Buck helps, and Eddie realizes he hasn’t been a single dad in years.

Summary
Not what Eddie was expecting turned out to be the understatement of the millenia.
From Bobby’s reaction to finding out that Buck was working out when he knew there was a new alpha in the firehouse, he suspected the guy was out to prove a point. What he was not expecting was the 6’2 , muscular dirty blond with a physique to rival any alpha’s, bench pressing more than Eddie could on most days.
Eddie’s mouth dropped open, and he couldn’t help scenting the air to catch the slightest whiff of omega wafting through the room. His instincts struggled to reconcile the sight of the absolute tank of a man in front of him and that sweet alluring tang in the air.
“Buck, what have I told you about scent blockers in the gym?” Bobby said sternly.
“Uh, that it’s not my fault I sweat through them when I’m having a good workout?”
OR
Buck hates alpha men. Eddie isn't attracted to omegas. Neither things matter because Buck and Eddie belong together, even if it takes a near death experience to work it all out.Series

Summary
Chim stops wiping the coffee table with the washcloth and straightens up. "What is it?"
"It's Chris..." Buck doesn't look at either of them. He walks over to the couch and sits down, his gaze transfixed in front of him. "He was so sleepy and I was tucking him into bed when he... he called me the D-word."
Chimney chuckles at that. "Dumbass?"
"No." Buck shakes his head slowly. He raises his head and makes eye contact for the first time since he's come out of Christopher's room. The expression on his face is bordering on terror. Was it an even worse curse word? It couldn't possibly have been 'douchebag,' not with Chris. "It was, it was dad."
"Huh," Eddie says.
"Mmmmm." Chim follows.
"Aaaah..." Buck sounds like he's on the verge of a panic attack. Eddie should know.
Right, this conversation is off to a great start.

Summary
“I can’t believe I trusted you!” Eddie practically screams.
Carefully setting her things down on the floor, Carla shuts the door behind her and keeps a watchful eye on the trio. Christopher is the only one that notices her arrival, waving cheerfully across at her as though nothing out of the ordinary is happening.
Buck throws a piece of paper in the general direction of Eddie’s face. “Oh, like you’re so brilliant?”

Summary
By the time he registers that there is now blood rolling down the side of his face, Buck is being pulled up by the gunman, the weapon jammed against the side of his head and an arm wrapping around his neck as they look up to the loft, where the team stands, frozen in shock.
He'd hoped that they would've heard his warning and run, but clearly, they hadn't.
(Or, post-lawsuit, two people decide that today is the day to threaten the 118 at gunpoint.)
