Summary
Bad nights happen sometimes. That's normal, Dib's been through them before. The easiest solution to fight the nightmares is to avoid them completely. Simply don't sleep. Easier to do when you have a distraction, especially if it's in the form of an alien Invader who's got this brilliant idea to kidnap you, fly you out to the middle of the solar system and not be entirely truthful in his reasoning for it.
Dib is exhausted, Zim is being vague and Gir is currently chewing on some questionable objects.

Tasked with finding evidence of a mermaid to prove it's existence, Dib, Zim, Gaz (and Gir!) take a road trip to the beach in what was supposed to be an easy, no-sweat, semi-vacation mission where they could relax on their off time and soak up the sun. Things go wrong, Zim is hiding secrets, and Dib can just be really dense sometimes.

Summary
After the suspension of Dib's membership to Swollen Eyeball's organization, Zim offers a trip to an unknown planet filled with adventure, space anomalies and a reprieve from Earth's stressors as a graduation gift and an escape. Dib accepts in a heartbeat.
Unfortunately, both of them are dumb danger magnets, and Dib goes through dealing with fairies, drunken bar fights, space pirates, way too emotional talks and more as he gets sense that Zim has been keeping something from him for a very, very long time. Oh, and the Irken Empire is out for blood. So there's that.

Summary
After being alerted to a Vampire in the area, Swollen Eyeball sends Dib (and by default, Zim) to investigate. The investigation goes as smoothly as you'd think, but it's only until afterwards do the consiquences arise.

Summary
As far as Dib was aware, Zim was never going to bring it up, even if Dib pried, he would be ignored. There would be no answers, and he was leaving that year behind along with every explanation Dib could have wanted.
Though as the hologram lights up, showing planets and stars and galaxies far from here accompanied by Irken symbols he can barely translate, illuminating the laboratory and casting lights across his and Gir’s face, Dib is starting to put the pieces together.
