Summary
Jaime is expecting the wolves. He would have been upset had they not come. Still, being put in a chokehold is not on his list of favorite experiences. It comes far too close to the feeling of a collar around his neck and he has to reach out the smallest tendril of magic just to remind himself it’s not locked away.
“Where is she?” The man growls. Jaime just blinks at him. That, apparently, was not the correct reaction. The man shakes him again and his head slams against the door frame of his house.
Or: When Jaime finds a werewolf child collapsed in the woods, he can't just leave her there.
