Summary
Meetra’s fall is silent, unnoticed by him. She slings her web tighter around him with every shared glance, every secret conversation in a hallway of the Ebon Hawk.
She says what Atton wants to hear, is what he needs her to be. Someone better than him, for her to be the innocent, virginal, perfect Jedi. The one he can pray to, forget his shame in. With those hands that he's slaughtered her kin with, tore them apart slice by slice, with those hands he wants to stroke Meetra's hair and hold her close.
So disappointingly human.
But if it makes him stay and fight by her side, then so be it. She can play pretend.
