Summary
Where the fuck was Kaeya Alberich? Albedo sighed and checked his watch one more time. 32 minutes late. Absolutely unacceptable. He was going to have to give the soon-to-be prince a stern reprimanding when he did arrive.
Albedo looked down again at the papers set in front of him. He was supposed to be teaching Kaeya, who had recently discovered his royal lineage, the manners and habits of a royal. With the most elegant manners of the entire noble court, he had been, unwillingly, called upon to fill this role.
The door swung open and Albedo turned around in annoyance, mouth open in preparation, but he stopped.
Kaeya Alberich was the most beautiful person he had ever seen in his entire life, and Albedo had seen a lot of very pretty people.

Summary
In his determination, Albedo forgot to look down at the ground and tripped over something solid, landing on the ground with a thunderous thud. He looked up just in time to see the crystalfly pop into nothing, leaving behind pale green-blue shimmers.
The thing under him that Albedo had tripped over gave a light grunt and shifted underneath him. Fuck. It was a person?
As the person got up, a very familiar head of blue hair came into view, and Albedo wanted to bury his face in the dirt. Of all people, why Kaeya?

Summary
The gates disappeared in the wake of his feet, faster and faster. The sky melted into a gray-blue as Kaeya entered Dragonspine, feeling the cold bite at his collarbone. There remained a faint ringing noise around this area, just faint enough that Kaeya could only hear it if he stopped breathing and moving and just focused.
Perhaps Albedo had been at his laboratory. That little cave full of warmth, where Kaeya liked to hide when Jean was mad at him, or needed to recover from a hangover. He prayed to any archon that might be listening that Albedo was still there.

Summary
So perhaps Albedo found Kaeya extremely attractive, but Albedo was 95% sure that Kaeya only considered him a friend. Sometimes, the urge to grab Kaeya's collar and kiss him senseless was almost too much to bear, but Albedo would never act on those impulses. They were just silly little dreams he had, and besides, Albedo's research kept him up far too late at night to add a relationship into the mix.
Kaeya's fingers were cold against Albedo's neck, bringing him back to sad reality. Albedo looked up, and he met Kaeya's eyes in the mirror, noticing for the umpteenth time how pretty Kaeya was, all warm brown skin and charming eyes and smile.

Summary
"Won't it be fun?" Kaeya twirls the tickets in his hand, beginning to walk down the stairs of the apartment building. "You and I, mortal enemies, dancing together for one beautiful night."
Albedo's cheeks heat at the thought, and he's momentarily angry with himself for being unable to suppress the thought of what it would be like to dance with Kaeya.
"No." Albedo says firmly, grabbing Kaeya's arm and spinning him around so they were face-to-face. It was at moments like these that Albedo desperately hated the extra 9 inches of height Kaeya had on him, letting Kaeya tower over Albedo with a calm authority that sent swarms of butterflies through his stomach.
"Why not?"
"It's not— you're not— I can't, okay?" Albedo sucks in a breath and this time, he's the one to turn around to hide his embarrassingly red cheeks. "You're Cryoconite and you do terrible things to the city and I'm Calx, the one who's meant to stop you whenever you get up to something, so if we were to go to a gala together, it would be terribly, awfully inappropriate, even if no one knows who we are."
