“Oh.” Shizun blinked, realisation dawning in dead eyes. “I get it.”
A strange relief flooded Binghe, even through the hurt that still burned in his heart three years later at seeing his betrayer again in the flesh. He let out a breath, body sagging, before he pulled himself together quickly and tilted his head back. He opened his mouth, ready to hit him with something sharp and witty, only for the words to die on his tongue when Shen Qingqiu turned his head to look at him, a strange look on his face.
“I’m hallucinating.”
The world screeched to a stop.
Or
Luo Binghe, some time after getting out of the Abyss, decides he can't wait any longer and makes a secret trip to Qing Jing Peak to see how Shen Qingqiu was for himself. However, reality and fantasy are often worlds apart, and what he finds is the last thing he would have expected to see.

Luo Binghe stared back at him. There was something distant in his eyes, something Shen Qingqiu was too tired, too drained, to decipher. Then, Luo Binghe’s lips opened in a non-apology, a soft, murmured sentence—a quiet, “I need to know the truth.”
Shen Qingqiu frowned. He opened his mouth to question the damn-near imploring words, but he never got the chance.
He failed to notice something was in Luo Binghe’s hands until it was too late.

Luo Binghe is determined to get answers this time, now that Shen Qingqiu can't run away. Even if he has to use a truth serum to do it.

Still, he wishes, desperately and deep down in the back of his mind where he will never have to acknowledge it, for even a little bit of that sweet boy to survive, for even a little bit of his darling white lotus to stay with him.
With a soft exhale, Shen Qingqiu opens his eyes and stares a little longer at the lotus blossom. Then, before he can think better of it, he plucks the blossom from its stem and reaches behind himself, carefully weaving it into the braid he’s tied his hair back in for this trip.
Hands falling back to his sides, Shen Qingqiu fails to see the way the lotus woven into his braid pulses with a gentle, white glow until its rhythm matches the steady beat of his heart.
Or
Shen Qingqiu has an encounter with a very special flower that grants him a very special wish, one that he doesn't even know he's made.
(Aka, SQQ wishes upon a flower and gets pregnant.)

It’s two weeks later that the first change happens.
A disciple nicks themself on their sword while messing around and Shen Qingqiu has to make an embarrassing retreat. He finds himself on Qian Cao within minutes, hand over his mouth and nauseated by the way his attention had snapped to the cut, nearly salivating as the rich scent of iron wafted towards him. Mu Qingfang’s face is grim when he sees him, pupils dilated and nails digging into his cheek.
Mu Qingfang offers him options, should the changes continue and evolve.

Shen Qingqiu gets bit by a small group of Vampire Bats that turn people into vampires with their bite, and as a result, Jinlan City goes a little bit differently.

Shen Qingqiu’s throat burns as he swallows down the acid climbing up his raw throat.

Shen Qingqiu doesn’t hear the rest of Luo Binghe’s sentence. Instead, he hears two dissonant shouts of surprise as his body drops like a sack of flour and his consciousness blinks out like a dead light.

Shen Qingqiu is doing Just Fine while his prized disciple is in the abyss, thank you very much. Nevermind the coughing, and the blood, and the...flowers?! Oh, fuck this, he demands a transmigration refund!!

When three weeks pass, it’s too late to visit Mu Qingfang without the shame of having to explain it’s been three weeks since his initial pollen-poisoning. He knows at what point he will no longer get exasperated Physician Mu Qingfang, but instead faintly disappointed, worried younger martial brother.
By the time a month passes, however, Shen Qingqiu knows something is deeply wrong.

Shen Qingqiu faces unexpected consequences of a PIDW pollen, in the form of miraculous pregnancy. Surely, he'll take that news well.
