Summary
Smut, smut, smut. Absolute smut.
This one was written in 2011, during Christmas break. It was set in a world where everyone, or at least almost everyone, was born with a specific superpower in the modern day - inspired or influenced by Heroes enough to retroactively claim it was a Heroes fanfic with powered OCs.
Anyway. What we have here is what happens when a serial killer with electrocution powers meets a jaded, misguided healer whose cellular regeneration has made her dissociated and densensitized to the world. They meet at a club, she teases him to make him violent, he beats her, she survives. Simple as.
These are not healthy people, folks. But they fuck a lot. Probably the most graphic thing I've written that wasn't out and out erotica/porn. Mostly, I was just fascinated by the idea of a person who can always regenerate coming back from electrocution, and what that might mean for a relationship with someone who killed people for fun.
The characters were later transplanted into a version of Solar Girl's universe where a mass-empowering event gave everyone, or at least most people, in the city powers much the same way. So it works just as well for any universe.

Yeah. Don't look at me like that.
Solar Girl, an original superhero from Spotlight City, gets called into the world of McDonaldland by the big red-haired clown himself under threat of lawsuit - and must fight for her right to wear red, yellow, and white!
Ronald sends three burger assassins - Big Mac, Filet-o-Fish, and the McRib - after her, but she deftly fights them off each in turn. But will she be able to defeat Ronald himself? And what will happen to him if she does?
Probably the best thing I've ever written. Circa 2013 or so.

Summary
This is an archive of the original 2012 character blog, Supergirls In The Spotlight, which was an attempt at writing out and portraying Solar Girl's storylines as an ongoing character blog, hosted on Wordpress.
It's out of date now, and quite a lot of the canon has changed, but this still remains the most consistent written story featuring Solar Girl, Spotlight City, and many of the characters there, even if they are in early versions.
So, for the 12th anniversary of the blog, I figured I'd start uploading it here. It started on February 4th, 2012, and ended on June 27th, 2012, but I'm not sure I'll be posting each chapter on the days the originals were posted. We'll see.

Summary
A tale written in early 2012 as one of the earliest forays into the Solar Girl universe.
During a lunar eclipse, horrors occur. In the tunnels beneath the city, a cat transforms. Moonshine, Solar Girl's best friend and partner, has a gruesome encounter with a sewer creep - this wasn’t a fun time in her life.
At this point in this version of the story, Moonshine's mother has just died and, around the same time, she discovered her own father has been Solar Girl's arch-nemesis, Dr Synergy, this entire time. Needless to say, she takes a step back from partnering with Solar Girl and goes hunting fodder villains in her spare time instead.
I can't remember which one this one in the story is supposed to be, but it was mostly an excuse to show off Moonshine's powers. Along the way, she meets a transformed cat that was victim to one of Dr Synergy's gene-splicing experiments; formerly belonging to the chaotic neutral tech dealer Bound Radical, it's now becoming the sewer-based tragic villain known as Spyderite, who would come to terrorize Solar Girl over the subsequent several weeks.
In this version, Spyderite becomes Moonshine's pet. I think.
Doubles as a songfic, in a way. But very briefly.

Summary
Haven’t written much for a while! I’ve been working on superheroes and whatnot. This is a very short story based on a self-imposed prompt (see this post). In the form of a journal entry, this story is about a young girl who becomes trapped in the Interim, an instant of frozen time utilised by her superpowered former best friend.

Summary
The original Solemn Graces pilot story that explored Grace and Gallo meeting in a graveyard for a ritualistic murder. There are two main versions of this story: the first original featured them murdering a child who wanted to die; the second rewrote that idea into a version where they murder the boy's parent instead, as a different means of freeing them.
Both are presented here, in different chapters (as well as both versions of the second iteration, where the victim's name changes between versions). Consider them part of the Pilot Universe; where early scraps and the first storylines that would become what we know today began to form.

Wanna know what Solemn Graces is all about? Eager for the upcoming serialisation of Once Upon A Midnight Dreary, the first in the series? To honour and help promote that upcoming release, I'll be posting all three original pilot shorts once a day, leading up to the 26th!
Today, we arrive at the last pilot of the three. This one, like the others, began as a prologue for a version of Solemn Graces #1. However, this one was very nearly canon, as it’s what I used to introduce last year’s version of the story, which fell through after I realised that Grace and Gallo’s first story should also be their first meeting - thus rendering each previous pilot completely unworkable.
So, after some editing to turn it into a standalone vignette, here is "Common Grounds"! It’s another simple vignette that borders on fanfiction about Grace and Gallo. It definitely shows heavy canon progress, what with the presence of Gallo's graveyard cafe and Grace's late night radio show and all, and is one of my personal favourite stories. But since I can’t work it into the canon storyline at this point in time, and since I can’t bear to let it languish in obscurity any longer, I’m presenting it here for all to see.

When a witch by the name of Grace Morgan investigates local legends about what really lurks in the forests of Inglenook Valley, she gets lost in the woods and stumbles upon the secret town of Grimstead - a place where nothing is quite right, superstitions come true, and nightmares and monsters prowl the streets looking for a midnight snack.
During Grace's first few nights in this strange place, the recent winner of a beauty pageant goes missing, leading Grace to discover a string of similar incidents. But in order to uncover the secret of the vampires who took her, she must team up with a mysterious gravedigger by the name of Gallo Belgrave, who can't seem to stop talking about the people he's buried and the horror films he loves.
Will this strange town be the end of the road for Grace Morgan? Or will it be the beginning of a whole new life for her? And will she find out the dark secret behind that spooky crumbling castle overlooking Grimstead?

Meanwhile, at Common Grounds Cemetery, gravedigger Gallo Belgrave is tasked with managing the dual funerals of his fallen fathers — even as he deals with traumatic flashbacks given to him by the return trip to the castle on the hill that served as his childhood home. Can he prevent himself from engaging in his theatrical antics long enough to pull off a serious funeral and avoid the ire of his uncle Cornelius Rathbone? Or will he be the one to truly put the fun back in this funeral?

Summary
A springtime holiday spectacular. This'll be a series dedicated to the holiday of Thistlemas, which is celebrated in Inglenook on the 15th day of the Month of Blossoms, the second month of spring. Since the day's coming up for our equivalent month, I thought there was no better way to illustrate the holiday than with actual specials and storylines set during examples of the day throughout history.
I'm looking forward to doing more for other holidays in the Other Realms, so we might have a full stable of holiday specials to look forward to as the year progresses.
"Visitations"
Grace Morgan and Beatrice Prescott celebrate Thistlemas together in 1966, the year the Strongman disappears and two before the 'Lonum Wars begin.
"The Tale Of The Witch Of Thistlemas"
Backstory is given on Eldress Wilder, an ancient witch character who became mascot for Thistlemas and a folk hero in much of Blackwood Forest, as well as supposed ancestor of 1800s hero Buck Wilder.

Summary
Differing from the normal Pick-n-Mix Comix format, Tailblazer: Lumi's Light is actually a Choose Your Own Adventure game centered around the story of Lumi, a Koskan adventurer from the planet Koskar, who crash-lands on Sol Viridis IV, in orbit around the green sun Sol Viridis, while on an exploratory mission.
Taking the role of Lumi, you're trapped — alone — on the alien world, surrounded by new forests, left to fend for survival in the remnants of your ship, and forced to scavenge alien ruins full of ancient robots, buried temples and massive pyramids, and more for whatever resources necessary to make it back to Koskar in one piece.
And all of this during Koskar's encroaching war with the canid Sirians of a neighboring star system, who have been on Lumi's tail ever since he left home.
Who ever said space travel was easy or fun?
