Summary
Steve gets kicked out, or well, finally breaks and calls his father's bluff, leaving out of his own volition.
While he laments on the situation in his car as he listens to Bruce Springsteen, he meets Eddie at Skull Rock, and realises that his home isn't the lonely house in Loch Nora, but with the people he loves—like Eddie.

Eddie was looking at him with a focused stare, beginning to grin right back at Steve, “Yeah, well, your dad is some elite-level asshole who doesn’t understand the epic highs and lows of monster-battling, so fuck what he thinks.”
“Yeah, fuck what he thinks,” Steve repeated Eddie’s words, smirking as he did so, imagining the look on his father’s face if he ever was to hear this uttered from Steve’s mouth.
Eddie laughed, “Now you got it!”

Summary
Robin set Steve up on a date. Bad idea, since the aforementioned date is clearly not into him, and they both quickly leave upon that knowledge being brought up.
Steve meets Eddie outside and finds the connection he's been looking for in all his fizzled-out relationships and hook-ups.
━━━━⊱⋆⊰━━━━
“Yeah, my luck with relationships has been piss-poor ever since goddamn high-school, and this is really the cherry on top of the bullshit that is my life,” Steve replied, turning sour at the end, way too pessimistic to act in front of a guy he has barely known for a minute.
The guy looked up at Steve, taking a hit of his cigarette before responding, “Hey—I bet your luck’s not too bad,” Eddie replied, the beginnings of a smile erupting on his face. “After all, I’m right here with you.”
He let out a laugh at his bold line, eyes drilling right up to gauge Steve’s response.

Summary
Eddie’s feels like he’s going to die. He feels like he’s in hell.
And as someone who has almost died and treaded in hell—and had a killer performance there—this means lots.
Steve Harrington in the summer is just too good of a sight for him to handle.
━━━━⊱⋆⊰━━━━
“If that’s bad, I can’t imagine how you would’ve been like during our time at Scoops,” Robin said, smirk remaining on her face, “Steve was always out front having his own ice-cream, licking it all up for anyone to see—”
“Ah—fuck, why tell me that?” Eddie shoved his head right between his knees, completely exasperated at what Robin was saying. “That’s almost as bad as the tattoo—his chest hair and—”
“Ew, Eddie,” Robin squeaked out, “You know I’m a lesbian, right, and I don’t wanna hear about you going on about Steve’s hairy ass chest!”
